Almost nothing is known for sure about Peter Sword (1939-2018), the artist was a long time residency of San Francisco’s bohemian North Beach neighborhood. He is said to have returned from the Vietnam War troubled by his experience and to have turned to art-making and drugs as a way of dealing with his anxiety.
