A 1966 oil on canvas painting by the American artist William Arthur Lewis (born 1918). Titled All Thy Works Shall Praise Thy Name, this abstract work depicts a dark table-like design with colorful plate resting on it. The piece is signed and dated by the artist in the lower right hand corner and sits in a double black wooden and silver tone frame and titled verso. American artist William Arthur Lewis was born in Detroit and studied design as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan. He joined the University of Michigan's faculty in 1949 after working as a freelance designer and illustrator. He was a founder of the Ann Arbor Potters Guild as well as a being an active member of the Michigan Watercolor Society. Over his successful career he showed his work in more than 100 solo exhibitions and his work is represented in the Toledo Museum of Art and the U.S. Navy Art Gallery in Washington D.C.
