Irwin Jacob Rosenhouse (1924-2002) "Israel in Egypt" 1966; woodblock print; pencil signed, titled and numbered 30 of 150. This illustrates the first chapter of the Book of Genesis in "The Rabbi's Bible" from 1966. The Sphinx and the pyramids are included in the scene. Rosenhouse worked as a designer at MOMA early in his career. Later he taught at several New York City institutions while working as a book illustrator for many children, religious and history books.
