She graduated from City University of New York with a bachelor’s degree in 1960 and a Master’s of Arts degree in 1967. After graduating, Polansky began working as an adjunct professor of art at Adelphi University in New Jersey in 1979. Then she worked at State University of New York in 1985. During her career in paper and book making, sculpture and printmaking; Polansky was included in numerous exhibitions across the US.
