Pencil signed print by David Eriz. "Psalm". Measures overall 31 1/2" by 26 1/2". Born in Jerusalem, David Erez was killed in the Yom Kippur War in 1973. He graduated the Yavneh Yeshiva, Bar Ilan High school and the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. the He studied at the Orban Studio in Sydney, Australia and at the Columbia School of Arts in New York, where he trained in printmaking. On the 28th of October David Erez lost his life in the Yom Kippur War. At that time David was living in New York where he was learning the trade of etching and preparing an art exhibition. When the war broke out he immediately flew to Israel leaving his wife and young son behind. David was born an artist and from a very young age drew and painted. He perfected his art when he lived in Melbourne, Australia where he participated in many group shows and won the Australian Bnai Brit painting prize. In 1965 David came back to Israel and served as a Paratrooper Sergeant in the Israel Defense Force.
