1970’s Limited Edition Serigraph “Fieldsville Trolley” By Armond Fields

A hand stenciled limited-edition serigraph titled “Fieldsville Trolley” by Armond Fields (b.1930-2008). The scene depicts passengers boarding a red trolley car, with a cafe to the right and workers beneath a street sign that reads "Union Railway Co". Numbered 67/90 to the left, titled “Fieldsville Trolley” in the center, and signed to the right by the artist, all in pencil. Armond was born in Chicago in 1930, and attended school in Milwaukee, WI. He received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, an M.A from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and a PhD from the University of Chicago. For many years Armond worked in advertising and market research in Chicago and Los Angeles before changing to a career as an independent marketing consultant in 1969. In the mid-80's, he began another career as a writer, researching and writing books on the French artists Henri Riviere and George Auriol, and later, the life of his great uncle Lew Fields.
