This painting and the Artist, I found while traveling in Old World Mexico City, about 30 plus years ago. This item is estimated to be from the 1970’s, the Artists' Studio was just a marvel in itself, an archive of works. This Canvas was created with a Mortaring Trowel and Paint Brushes. The Frame is hand-made, solid wood with a Linen and wood matting. The over-all frame is finished with an old world "Kings Gold, Gilt Paint Finish". This piece is very large. Meant for over a server, sofa or as a mantel piece. The painting alone: measures 38.5 inches wide x by 26.5 inches in height. The entire finished work, with Frame measures: 48.5 inches in width x 36.0 inches in height x 2.75 inches deep. This piece is in near perfect condition, only showing signs of wear due to age. We are the original owners. Framed by the Artist, no glass. “ Vision of Old World Mexico City”.
