This is an original drawing/painting in pastels by established artist Barnaby Fitzgerald. It is signed “Barnaby Fitzgerald”, dated “May 76”, and titled “Jessy Ann” in the lower right. It is in very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear to the frame consistent with age. The paper the drawing was made on appears to have some staining (water?) in the upper portion that does not appear to have occurred after the drawing was made as there is no smudging or running of the colors at all. The paper backing should be replaced as it is torn in areas and wrinkled. Matte appears fine and the piece is framed behind protective non-glare glass. The artist’s work is in various museum collections and is very collectible. Drawings by this artist appear to be extremely rare and this work in particular is from very early in his career. Sight is 20.25” x 15.5” Frame measures 25.5” x 20.5”
