Susan Bolt has been creating her signature style of art for over 50 years. Early in her career, she studied at the Center for Creative Studies and Pewabic Pottery in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from art school, she moved to Detroit with her husband Russell where she worked freelance for Hallmark cards, J.L. Hudson?s display department. She also illustrated for the Detroit Free Press Sunday Magazine where she received many awards. For over 21 years Sue was active in the Detroit art scene teaching at Wayne State University and Oak Park High School. She has conducted many workshops in ceramics and paintings for the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association, the Flint Institute of Art Museum, Michigan State University, Grand Rapids Public Schools, and the Detroit Institute of Arts to name a few.
