Overview: Up for sale is an absolutely amazing abstract oil painting on stretched canvas by listed Filipino artist, Edgardo "Eddie" Sarmiento (1940-). Sarmiento is well-known for his landscape paintings of the Phillippines and figurative Filipino works. This is surrealist style figurative piece, showing seated figures in a circle, perhaps sitting at a table. An eerie, poignant piece that really invokes some thought and curiosity. Signed and dated 1972 at lower right. It is framed in an extremely cool midcentury shadowbox style frame. Condition: Painting and frame are in excellent condition.
