John Clemente Sirica (1937-2008) was a Washington, D.C. artist. The etching is an artist’s proof making it a one-of-a-kind. The detail demonstrates his skill in intaglio printmaking. John Clemente Sirica received his master’s degree from George Washington University in intaglio printmaking. He was the Artist-in-Residence and served on the faculty at the National Collection of Fine Arts now known as The National Museum of American Art. His work is held by the collections of The National Gallery of Art and Georgetown University. His work was featured in an exhibition in 2023 at Georgetown University.
