A 1975 serigraph print by the American artist Thelma Confer (1924-2013). Titled "Amoeba," this abstract work depicts a floating array of biomorphic shapes against a background of yellow and green-gray. Signed and dated to the lower right, the print is numbered 13/30 to the lower center and titled to the lower left. The work is displayed in a black metal frame and a white mat. Thelma Confer studied at the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis where she earned her B.F.A. She was known for painting figural and large abstract compositions. Confer received recognition for her Indiana history series that comprised 52 paintings of celebrated landmarks in Indiana where she lived and exhibited widely.
