A 1979 collage by the American artist Marvin Lowe (1922-2010). Titled "8 I, this abstract work featured an array of collaged papers with various printed designs in earthy hues. Titled to the lower left, the work is initialed and dated to the lower right. The collage is displayed in a wooden frame and mounted on white board. Marvin Lowe was born in Brooklyn, New York, and spent most of his life focused on music, befriending Larry Rivers. He attended the University of Iowa for printmaking after previously receiving a BA in English elsewhere. After receiving his MFA, Lowe was hired by Indiana University.
