LEMON & PEARS Size: 13.4 x 15.4 inches (including frame) Tempera on board A brilliantly executed and characterful surrealist still life composition, executed in tempera on board and dated 1980, by the established Swedish artist Eric Cederberg (1897-1984), whose artworks have been represented in several public and museum collections across Sweden. The artwork captures an arrangement of bright yellow lemons and rich purple grapes resting in a blue bowl, complemented by green pears placed on a deep red tabletop. A brown pitcher stands in the background, along with patterned wallpaper and a blue wall, adding depth and contrast to the scene.
