Large vintage 1980s Alexandre Minguet Impressionist island landscape serigraph, signed in pencil and numbered 77/300. Gold wooden frame and double matted. Alexandre Minguet (1937-1996) was born in Beziers, France. When Minguet was 17 years old, he was enrolled in the Conservatoire des Arts et metiers in Paris, where he studied commercial law, trade, and marketing. At 22, he attended the academies in Montparnasse and the Ecole du Louvre. This resulted in his first exhibitions and a classical period under the guidance of his teacher Maryse Ducaire.
