Adolf Sehring was a Russian born artist who immigrated to America in 1949 when he was nineteen. He soon joined the military and fought in the Korean War. He served as a cartographer using his art skills to draw maps. When Adolf returned home to Philadelphia he dabbled in illustration and furniture design before finally committing himself to fine art. His work is known globally and he was commissioned by the Vatican to paint the official papal portrait of Pope John Paul II. He is known for his realistic depictions of nature and animals. This huge and stunning piece is pencil signed, numbered 261/1500 and embossed with a seal of authenticity. Gorgeous goldish-silver frame with glass. This large artwork is really a show stopper!
