This is a RARE find. It is the first time we have this print in our collection. It is a 1981 original couture fashion design by Hubert de Givenchy (1027-2018). It originally appeared in a French magazine of the time. It is not a recent reproduction print. (Please see a book photograph that documents date, artist etc.) This is a stunning elegant evening dress in rich jeweled, emerald green that captures the essence of Givenchy's genius and impact. The dress with its side sash and puddling styling is worn with deep purple long gloves and accessorized with a jeweled necklace by Bulgari. And note the textured deep painterly bronze tones of the background color. Givenchy, of course, is best known for his designs for Audrey Hepburn. He had a long career that spanned throughout the 20th century. This image was illustrated by Patrick Arlet who was a French artist who specialized in fashion design in the late 20th century. This print is in pristine condition. Measures 6.5 x 11.25 inches in size. Cmoes matted in a cream tone 16 x 20 inch custom mat, ready for a standard size frame.
