Oil on board painting, signed Morris Katz 1982. Morris (Moshe) Katz (1932-2010) was a prolific artist who held two Guinness World Records: the world's fastest painter and the most prolific artist. He was known as the "King of Schlock Art" and the "King of Toilet Paper Art" for his distinctive painting technique, which utilized a palette knife and toilet tissue rather than a paintbrush. This piece is a heavy impasto created using a palette knife and most likely, toilet paper. It features red and white flowers in a vase. Deminsions: 13ʺW × 1.5ʺD × 17ʺ The painting is in very good condition with minimal paint loss. The black-stained wood frame features a silver embellishment. Light surface wear, minor abrasions to the frame.
