A 1983 abstract lithograph print by American artist Pat Steir (1938-2026). Published by Landfall Press, this piece features lines and geometric patterns in bold red. Held in a black frame against a white mat, this print is marked verso "Copyright 1983 Landfall Press, INC." Born in Newark, New Jersey, Pat Stier attended the Pratt Institute in New York, finding inspiration from her professors, Richard Linder and Phillip Guston. Post graduation, her work was featured in the High Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. By the 1970s, she became well known for her destructive works, monochromatic images crossed out with a large X. In 2016, Stier was elected as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
