A 1985 abstract mixed media painting by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled "Pink Mountain, Piedmont," this work depicts a predominantly pink landscape flanked by vibrant green trees with a dry red clay riverbed at the center. Unframed, the painting is signed and dated to the lower right and titled to the lower left, as well as to the verso. Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
