About the Artist Anna was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She studied nursing and became a Registered Nurse specializing in Surgery. In 1971 Anna moved to Arizona and started an active pursuit of an art career. Although primarily known for her batik-like watercolors on rice paper, Anna continues to explore other mediums and has found with pastel painting and acrylics, she can continue to express herself through the use of rich colors and underlying design. Anna hopes to move the viewer to be part of the creative experience and enjoy a particular place or subject. Anna Balentine maintains a studio in Scottsdale, and is a member of the Sonoran Arts League. She has exhibited in galleries throughout the southwest, and has numerous paintings and prints hanging in both private and corporate collections. Presently Anna is represented by the Mas Y` Mas Gallery in Tubac, Arizona. Her commissioned works are in demand and Anna's company, Balentine Artworks & Design, also produces Limited Editions prints, Posters , and a line of Cards and Small Prints.
