Both are hand colored and illustrate 2 views of life in 19th century Venice. The publisher is the same on both as they bear a faint publishers blind stamp that is believed to be French. Each is rather newly framed in burl wood trimmed with gilt wood. the mat is marbleized and deep cut echoing the gilt wood trim. It is rare to find a pair of such similar subjects in new frames. this pair is truly ready to hang and enjoy. One is slightly larger than the other . They are both 16.5" high, however one is 17.5" wide and the other is 19" wide. The dimensions of the actual artwork are 7.75"w x 6"h for the smaller and 9"w x 6"h for the larger.
