We are selling this pretty Luminist style watercolor painting. We believe this painting after or slightly possibly by Eduard Hildebrandt as a very similar composition in oils was sold at Christies titled “Loo Rock and Ponthina, Madeira” in 2002. The painting is well framed and might be thought to be by the artist although only possibly a loose study for the oil composition if not just a copy. Not signed on paper. Condition: Painting is well framed. Good antique condition. Some damages around edge of watercolor paper under the matting. Not signed when opened.
