Unsigned, and recently cleaned professionally, this is truly a magnificent example of marine painting, showing a ship's tender towing a barge in a choppy sea, as it steams away from a magnificent three-master rocking at anchor in the lee of a lighthouse on a bluff overlooking the harbor, under a stormy sky, a setting sun breaking through the clouds.
