The Japanese Crane paneling from the 20th century are a fusion of traditional and contemporary atristory. The pieces are executed on solid pitch pine wood panel boards that are 18" x 22" on dutch metal with shallack and wax, the art executed in acrylics and 23k gold leaf. The beautiful piece offers a fresh perspective on a timeless motif, infusing the classical symbolism of native Japanese birds with modern allure. A total of 12 backboards with two center art boards - the boards are made of solid pitch pine. Signed by Christina and Laura, two sisters from Milan living in California in the 1970's.
