A large late 19th, early 20th century painting presented in a carved and patinated gold tone frame. This lovely landscape, trees in a rolling meadow under a cloudy sky, is in shades of green, blue and gray. The tag on the reverse is from an Augusta, Georgia museum appraisal day in 2008, which gives a provisional value of $800-$1,200. Signed "Benson," the painting is presented in a new, neutral tone mat. The frame is likely original.
