This series of color study prints evolved from our own internal studio experiments with hue, tone and value. We liked them so much we developed this series of modular prints that use reduced geometric shapes and fields of color-blocking. These new sets are based on the theories and techniques developed by Josef Albers and his student Dick Nelson with particular interest in ‘halations,’ an optical effect that creates soft gradients between each shape. Perfect for grouping into grids. Unframed pigment prints on 255gsm 100% cotton matte watercolor paper. Each print includes a large white border.
