Working with watercolor and the natural mineral pigments traditionally used in pottery in her native Costa Rica, artist Magda Cordoba captures on paper an abstract composition inspired by Lee Ufan, the renowned Korean artist and philosopher that has been a big influence in her career. Ufan stands out in Asian abstract minimalism because his process and materials are more important to him than the final result, which is something Cordoba emulates and pays homage to.
