Auguste RODIN (1840-1917) (after) Three designs Engraving (heliogravure resumed at the tip) and enhanced with watercolor On vellum 42.5 x 31 cm Engraving published in 1897 by Ateliers Goupil Limited edition of 125 copies, supplied with certificate of authenticity from the gallery and photocopy of the proof of the edition from the publisher. Excellent condition Information: This engraving is part of "Album Fenaille" or "Album Goupil", a work devoted to the drawings of Auguste Rodin, published in 1897. It contains a majority of drawings related to Hell of Dante and which we generally group together under the name of "black drawings". A copy of this precious album is in the archives of the Musée Rodin. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
