After Pablo Picasso, La Cavalière, Toros Y Toreros, Cercle D'art, 1961, Print

Chairish

$241

Plate "La Cavalière" (with printed date 10.3.59) from the book Toros y Toreros by Pablo Picasso, first published by Cercle d'Art in 1961. Toros y Toreros reproduces 3 notebooks of drawings by Pablo Picasso on bullfighting subjects. This is a plate from the first edition of the book. The printing is a high-quality offset color print on heavy paper by Imprimerie Moderne du Lion (and not a lithographic print as sometimes erroneously indicated). Presence on the back of a stamp dated "28 Nov 1961" with the mention "L Gabriel". The presence of this stamp confirms that this is the first edition, and suggests that this plate may be an offprint or taken from a book of the period. Dimensions: 26.6x36.8 cm. A few traces of wear, small folds in the corners or margins, rare and slight traces of folds in the image. Minor soiling, slight yellowing. Neatly mailed flat. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
