This is an unframed drawing on Mylar.* It shows an aspect of the ocean during a walk along the coast of Northern California. The intent is to convey the dynamism, beauty and power of nature. I used graphite and oil sticks. The size is 23"height x 35" length. *Drawing & Painting: Mylar has a non-porous slick surface, but many varieties (often sold as Dura-Lar) feature a frosted, matte finish. Oil and acrylic painters also use it as an alternative to canvas, as the translucent property lets artists underpaint on both sides of the film for unique depth.
