Peter Keil is a German artist who focuses primarily on abstract expressionism. Keil painted with some of the greats, including Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, to name a few. This is an incredible abstract portrait of Peter's dear friend and mentor, Andy Warhol. It is signed “P. Keil” in the lower left corner and executed with acrylic on board and framed. It is titled and signed "Andy Warhol in New York, Your Friend, Peter Keil" on the verso. This piece was purchased by the Bowen family as a routine purchase directly from the Keil family, acting on behalf of Peter. The art is in good condition with minor wear consistent with age.
