She was martyred in the mid 3rd Century by having all her teeth brutally extracted. Andy Warhol was commissioned to create the artwork by Quintessenz, Germany’s leading printer of dental publications, in 1984. Warhol borrowed his image from a 15th C painting of the saint by Piero della Francesca. The example on yellow background is #4 of 250 from the original 1984 edition.
