Antique 19th C. Black Americana Birch Bark Collage Drawing By Edward West Merrill (1941-1910). An antique collage by Concord, New Hampshire artist Edward West Merrill titled "Love in Blackville - The Wooing of the Twins," depitcting an interior scene with figures. Merrill was known for creating these mixed media collages including figures made out of birch bark that are embellished with ink. Watercolor and ink are present along with the birch bark against a black background. Signed and titled in the bottom right. Housed under glass in a wood frame with detailed metal trim. In good condition with wear consistent with age. Dimensions: 16" x 22.5" mat opening, 26" x 32.5" framed.
