This set of nine (9) extremely fine signed French antique mid 19th century engravings of various breeds of cows and bulls. Not only are they well drawn and large, they are magnificently printed using a combination of engraving methods. Each print is signed in the plate and all were printed by Lemercier, Paris in 1856. Printed on "wove" paper on one side only. All the plates were pulled from"Les Races Bovines". Great for a huge wall treatment or several smaller engravings.
