Very early paper or parchment fan of the period, Louis XV, very finely hand painted in gouache, pen & ink portraying angels with young cupids in the heavenly white clouds against the palest of blue backgrounds. The exquisite scene is framed with meticulously hand painted borders. Professionally & expensively presented under anti-glare glass in a fine gilt frame worthy of this incredible work of art. Whoever the artist was, he/she was in a class of their own. No markings other than the framers mark on verso. 18th. Century. A delightful piece of artwork. Condition is good for age.
