You can almost hear the waterfall crashing down the mountain... An antique oil on canvas painting of a waterfall on a mountain with a blue sky and a craggly cliff. Believed to be a waterfall in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. A well done composition with color, light, and movement. In custom, solid wood frame. I had it framed showing its flaws as part of its character but it could be framed to hide most of them. New custom Larson Juhl frame. The painting is done vertically and stretched on its original wood stretcher. The vantage point of the waterfall is highlighted by the tall vertical canvas giving the waterfall height. Sold in its beautiful aged condition. There is an old repair to the rear canvas as shown. The top right front has a small canvas repair. A couple of corners where the canvas meet the wood stretcher is worn as shown. Please see condition report. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for looking.
