Cornelis Koppenol was born in 1865 in Zoetemeer. A painter and graphic artist known for his figure, genre, still life and landscapes. He studied at the academy of The Hague, among others, under J. P. Koelman and A. van den Berg. He was member of 'Pulchri Studio' in The Hague.He died in 1946 in Den Haag.
