As an infant in 1853 he accompanied his parents to the United States, where they settled in Philadelphia. His father, a musician and music teacher, was also named Carl; he was the older brother of Paul Weber, a well- known artist who had earlier settled in Philadelphia and lived there with his family, which included a son, Carl, born Oct. 18, 1850. Artist: The style is consistent with artists who painted pastoral landscapes, such as Albert Charpin (1842-1924) or Benjamin Williams Leader (1831-1923).
