Vintage pugilistic figure study by Anne Neumark (1906-1997) dated 1928. Graphite on paper dated upper right. Unsigned but from a collection of the artists works. Neumark studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, she exhibited at the Boston Art College and created a mural at the Edgar Allen Poe Shrine in Richmond Virginia. While a student in the 1920s, Neumark moved to New York and exhibited at the prestigious Manhattan Gallery. Her works are held in several museum collections.
