$344

Color lithograph, on magnani-pescia paper. Paper size 56cmx76cm, work size 47cmx66cm. Excellent condition, no defects. Artist, costume designer, after having created numerous scenography, she began to exhibit in 1976. After six years of “artistic bigamy” she said goodbye to costumes. From 1985 to 1994 she was part of the movement called “nuova maniera italiana”. Only in 1994, when the desire for solitude and a more personal research prevailed over the group spirit, she continued her journey alone. Two years later she began to work on a theme, a series of works based on theatrical costumes. And so, passing from scene to scene, from enchantment to enchantment; following the inevitable paths that are the wealth (and also the seduction) of those who work creatively, she finds herself at the center of the labyrinth where she participates in numerous initiatives sacred painting: a difficult and delicate test, a circumstance that, in every myth, requires a great help (a guiding hand). And this comes in the refined guise, in spirit and art, of monsignor paolo de nicolo’. “if i have ever received a talent – ??and to what extent it is not for me to say – i can do nothing but give thanks… what i can say about this gift is that i have cultivated it, minute by minute, with a tenacity and a passion comparable to an eternal obsession.” this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
