The artwork is depicted skillfully in a well-balanced composition. Antoni Clavé was a Spanish painter and sculptor, born in 1913 in Barcelona. He studied at the Art College of Barcelona. He then moved to Paris, where he met Picasso and took inspiration from the works by Vuillard and Bonnard. He participated in many personal and collective exhibitions throughout the world. His technique involved a mixture of painting, impasto, collages, and prints. In 2005, he died in Saint-Tropez. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
