Mid 20th Century oil on canvas painting by Arisztid Szendy, (Hungarian, 1903-1972 New York), depicting a Still Life featuring a table with bowl of fruits and a wine carafe. The painting has beautiful earthy tones, it is frames in a giltwood frame with linen mat. The painting is signed on the left by the artist to balance the composition. Arisztid Szendy studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, where is masters were Istvan Csok and Gyula Rudnay. He participated in exhibitions at home and abroad from 1929. He immigrated to States in 1949, He painted carefully crafted, naturalistic Still Lifes.
