Charming art deco drawing of Marion Davies by well listed illustrator Charles Sheldon. Pastel on paper presented in cream colored matting and a giltwood frame. C.1910-20s, unsigned but model is noted under matting. From substantive CT collection of his works. Sheldon (Massachusetts, 1889-1960) studied at the Arts Students League & then under Alphonse Mucha in Paris. He produced many illustrations using film stars for high fashion companies & magazines like Colliers & Saturday Evening Post.
