Encased in a wooden frame, Buddha rests his eyes peacefully. Ketut Sudantara in Bali hand carves the relief panel from local suar wood, carefully creating openwork designs between the Buddha and panel's frame. Finally, the panel is given a beautiful wash of color in red, gold, and green.
