This unique piece of art created from a reproduction of Picasso’s original painting, “Reading” (1932) is remarkable. It appears that the print of the painting (27.5”x 20”) was adhered to a painted black wood surface (34”x 26”) and layered with many coats of glossy lacquer (the reason for the glare in the photos). The colors of the print are slightly muted and contrast sharply with the bold black border, which wraps the wood frame. We are fairly certain this was hand made by an innovative artisan. We think it’s a wonderful way to incorporate Picasso’s masterful cubism into a space.
