Asger Jorn, Jubilation Larmoyennageuse, Lithograph, 1969

Chairish

$3,951

Rare lithograph on wove paper realized by Jorn in 1969. Hand signed and dated in pencil lower right. Edition of 87/300. Printed by Clot, Bramsen et Georges Paris. Ref. Cat. Graphic Works n. 338. Very good condition. Created in 1969, this vibrant lithograph by Danish artist Asger Jorn, a founding member of the CoBrA movement, embodies the raw energy and spontaneity that define his oeuvre. Sweeping gestural marks in green, yellow, and red surge across the surface against a muted grey field, blurring the line between figuration and abstraction. The composition radiates vitality, revealing Jorn’s relentless pursuit of expressive freedom and his fascination with the primal power of color and form. Editioned 87/300 and hand-signed by the artist, this work reflects Jorn’s deep engagement with printmaking as an extension of his painterly practice. The dynamic interplay of layered pigments captures the immediacy and intensity characteristic of his post-war production. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
