This figurative piece is one of five, created using a woodcut print technique with oil-based colours on paper. Based in Alabama, Austrian artist Barbara Kuebel has shown her work extensively throughout Europe and the US. Inspired by 'awkward social interactions', she creates abstract figurative portraits rendered as life-sized woodworks that she carves by hand.
