Roman Costume is a beautiful etching and watercolor realized by Bartolomeo Pinelli in 1831. In Good condition, worn paper on the marginal line and some little stains on the back. Signed on plate lower margin. The sheet is mounted on a cardboard passepartout (49 x 34 cm). Bartolomeo Pinelli illustrated the biggest masterpiece of Italian Literature and he was famous also for his ethnographic study concerning Italian people. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
