A vintage portrait by Belgian artist Edmond Delescluze (1905-1993). The subject is a young lady with fair hair and skin, her classic Flemish profile set off by a red hat decorated with ostrich feathers and a gaze concentrated toward the left of the scene. Behind her is a surreal landscape of pastel blue, pink, and yellow during the waning hours of daylight. Wrapped around her is a diaphanous pink shawl exposing a gold necklace with a locket, which must have some importance considering the level of detail applied.
